The iconic Lagomar Restaurant, nestled within one of the island’s most emblematic architectural masterpieces, known for its perfect fusion of nature, art, and gastronomy, is celebrating its reopening with a renewed culinary offering.

Following an extensive renovation, Lagomar Restaurant reopens its doors to offer locals and tourists alike a unique gastronomic experience, featuring avant-garde cuisine rooted in local produce and a meticulously crafted menu.

Originally conceived in collaboration with the legendary César Manrique and Jesús Soto, Lagomar Restaurant is renowned as a gastronomic oasis, where each dish connects the essence of Lanzarote with an innovative approach. Set within an iconic architectural environment, this emblematic space has become a landmark that invites diners to enjoy an experience that goes beyond the culinary, surrounded by history, art, and natural beauty.

Restoration and Expansion since the 1980s

Adrián Nicolás Von Boettinger, the current owner of the restaurant, is the son of Beatriz Van Hoff, originally from Uruguay, and Dominik Von Boettinger, a German entrepreneur who acquired the property with his wife in the late 1980s. The couple embarked on an extensive restoration of the villa, preserving its architectural and natural essence, inspired by the artistic vision of Lanzarote.

During the works, they transformed the adjacent rofe quarry into a beautiful lake surrounded by gardens, while simultaneously creating the restaurant and museum that we know today.

For Adrián, Lagomar Restaurant is much more than just a restaurant: “Our vision is for each visitor, from the moment they step inside, to experience a unique sensory journey. Among the starters, highlights include the Bruschetta de la Isla, which combines local flavours with the subtlety of tomato pâté and cured cheese shavings, or the Scallops with La Palma Honey Rum, delivering a delicious blend of sea and volcanic sweetness.

For seafood lovers, the menu offers a selection of carefully prepared fish dishes. The Cod with Prawns in Garlic, topped with wild prawns and a delicate touch of garlic, and the Sea Bass en Papillote, stuffed with seasonal vegetables, are just a few examples of dishes designed to highlight local products and take diners on a journey through unique flavours.
