Living Lanzarote: An Interview with TouristTicket

visitlanzarote Art, Beaches, concerts, Culture, Food, Fun, Music, Sports, Walks/Hikes

TouristTicket is one of the biggest excursions provider in Lanzarote and we were delighted when they accepted our request for an interview. We spoke to Patricia, the marketing and communications manager.

What made you start TouristTicket and when was it launched?

We saw a gap in the market.  Whilst there are, and always have been many independent excursions’ providers we believed that creating a one-stop online and in-resort provider was the way forward.  We worked really hard on both our online and offline offering and proudly launched TouristTicket in 2005.

How many excursions do you currently offer?

We currently offer around 250 excursions, however working in such a fast paced environment we are constantly adding new and exciting activities to our catalogue.

Can excursions be booked online?

Of course, visitors to the island can book directly with us online or through platforms such as Viator, Turismoi, Yumping or Musement.

Is it better to book in advance?

Obviously, the earlier you book the better in order to guarantee a place on an excursion to suit your travel plans.  Whilst we do sometimes have late availability, our more popular excursions sell out fast. I would recommend booking at least 48 hours in advance.

Online booking is great for those who have not yet arrived on the island, however if you are already in resort you can also drop into one of our offices. Information on where they are located is available on our website  along with opening times and contact telephone numbers.

Do you offer any discounts on your excursions?

Usually, discounts are offered when customers book multiple excursions with us regardless of if they book online or in-resort at one of our offices. We also offer special discounts on certain excursions; for example the I LOVE PAPAGAYO tour offers a discount applied to the second adult who only pays the child rate.

Which are your most popular activities?

Gosh there are quite a few, depending on what the customer is looking for. Our boat trips I LOVE PAPAGAYO and I LOVE LA GRACIOSA are very popular – but then so are our culturally based bus tours around the island and adrenaline pumping karting and waterports excursions.  Whether it’s individuals, couples, families, old or young we have something for everyone.

What would you say is your most unusual excursion at the moment?

We offer an unusual activity called Sea Trek. You don’t need to be able to swim, it requires very little training, all you really need is your swimsuit. Our Sea Trek excursion will take you on a walk across the ocean floor so you can see and experience the world ‘under the sea’. It’s a great activity for individuals, families and groups of people. More information is available on our website

What would you say has been your proudest moment to date?

There have been many proud moments, however this year we were awarded Top Rated on Viator, for our consistently high customer satisfaction ratings.
