With images from the beginning of the 20th century right up to modern day this digital memento of Carnival in Lanzarote shows how deeply rooted it is in Lanzarote’s history and culture.
Carnival Arrecife
18 February – 1 March
Theme: world tribes
Arrecife kicks off Carnival season each year with the largest parade on the island and marks the end of Carnival with the historic burial of the sardine. If you’re visiting Lanzarote during this time, make sure you join in the fun and celebrations! More info (in Spanish)
