Famara

Famara beach and the village of la Caleta de Famara are certainly a must visit when in Lanzarote, located north west of the island in the municipality of Teguise it is well known by surfers and for its natural beauty, sand dunes welcome you to Famara beach which extends through several kilometres from the start of the Village all the way up to the skirts of the mountain «El Risco de Famara”. The beach has clean toasted sand and its the perfect place for waters sports like surf, bodyboard, windsurf, kite-surf as trade winds are frequently present and make it a great place because of its beautiful views, Watersport’s or for those who prefer to relax and enjoy the sun.

Once in the village you will feel the relaxed atmosphere of the place, sand roads, flip flops and surf shorts are a premise in the area, low rise buildings mix in with surf schools, shops bars and restaurants, Famara is well known for its great fresh sea food restaurants that serve local Canarian food.
